Our Seramas come from various bloodlines sourced from across the United States, giving you the chance to hatch a beautiful variety of colors, feather types, and sizes.

Seramas are known for their tiny size, bold personality, and stunning variety, making them a favorite among backyard poultry enthusiasts and collectors alike.
 
Please note that these eggs are notoriously difficult to hatch. We test fertility every week to make sure the yokes have bullseyes. Just please keep in mind, that hatch rates may be lower than 50% due to shipping and incubation factors. Recommendations are below to give your eggs the best chance at hatching. 
 
Disclaimer: Because our flock includes a wide assortment of Seramas, each order is a fun surprise mix of what our hens lay during collection. While we strive to produce birds that meet the Serama standard, hatching eggs can occasionally produce chicks with genetic traits that are not ideal for breeding or exhibition. Eggs are sold for hatching purposes only, and no guarantee is made that every chick will meet the breed standard.

⚠️ Important Shipping Note
Due to factors outside our control (shipping conditions, incubation environment, humidity/temperatures, etc.), we cannot guarantee hatch rates. However, we stand behind our birds and are always available to help with questions or concerns.

Incubation Recommendations
 
-Turn on the incubator and allow the temperature to stabilize to 99.5* F and between 35-45% humidity.
-Inspect your shipped eggs for cracks/damage. Do not put those in the incubator.
-Rest your shipped eggs for 12-24 hours, pointy side down, at room temperature before incubating.
-Set your eggs in the incubator, turning at least 4x per day
-Incubate for 17 days and check the temperature and humidity often
-After 17 days, move the eggs into lockdown. Remove egg turners and place eggs on hatching trays, preferably on a rough surface, so the chicks will not slip on plastics or foam.
-Increase humidity to 60-65%
-Around days 19-21, the chicks will start hatching. Wait 24-36 hours before removing chicks to avoid shrink-wrapping the remaining eggs.
 
Brooding Recommendations
 
-Prepare the brooder a day or so before the chick hatch.
-The temperature should be 85* F in the coldest part and ~105* F in the hottest section.
-Put room temp or warmer water and food near the heat source so the chicks can easily access them
-Feed should be chicken starter crumble for the first 4-5 months
-The temperature in the brooder can be lowered by 5*F per week
-After 4-5 months, the feed can be switched to chicken layer crumble
