ALL ABOUT HAPPY RIDGE HOMESTEAD

Since Travis and Rachel started raising Coturnix (Japanese) quail in late 2020, their goal has been to learn to become more self-sufficient while having fun. The quail operation has doubled since 2022, while Travis and Rachel continue to work full-time in their respective careers.
The standard and jumbo-sized Coturnix at Happy Ridge Homestead (HRH) are bred for temperament, health, and vigor.
HRH has over 300 Coturnix and more than 20 Seramas!
Coturnix lines include: Fawn (Italian/Manchurian), Pharaoh, Celadon, Pearl Fee, and Pansy.
The quails are raised indoors in a temperature-controlled environment with 10-12 hours of supplemental lighting daily. HRH keeps their Hatching Time cages clean and stocked with gamebird feed and filtered water.
Eggs are collected daily. Hatching eggs (unwashed) are stored pointy side down in a refrigerator set at 55-60 degrees Fahrenheit to preserve their vitality.
Hatching eggs are shipped in custom (HRH-designed) insulated foams.
